A Bone Marrow Transplant, also referred to as a stem cell transplant is a potentially life saving procedure. In this process, heathy stem cells replace unhealthy, or cancerous blood cells. During a transplant, chemotherapy and sometimes radiation is given to destroy cancer cells and replace them with healthy cells form a donor.
